In a short while I will be publishing my first post covering the Aegon Open Nottingham. The main draw officially kicked off today. I know – because I was there!
For a couple of days this week, and a few days of the ATP event in two weeks time, I’ll be busy gathering information, photos and interviews for your benefit – so be sure to check in here for news, takes and reactions from the Nottingham tournament!
Also, follow The Tennis Obsessed on twitter @tennisobsessed_ for live updates!
For now, here are links to the work I did elsewhere over the French Open fortnight (you may have noticed things have been a little dry around here lately!) There’s a lot of Serena, and a bit of Rafa and Roger going on. I hope to write some more on Roland Garros after my initial days in Nottingham. It was a wild ride!
Anyway, here’s what I’ve been up to:
After Serena’s second round woes versus Anna-Lena Friedsam, I reacted over at The Changeover. Read on to see what I had to say! http://www.changeovertennis.com/french-open-fan-fare-panicking-with-serena/
With Serena (obviously) being a major source of interest over the fortnight, I wrote for Last Word On Sports about how Tara Moore finally gained worldwide attention via a spiteful Williams-directed tweet. http://lastwordonsports.com/2015/06/05/tara-moore-unimpressed-serena-williams-comeback/
For CrunchSports.com, I reviewed and previewed what Serena’s semifinal victory over Bacsinszky meant for the final (read to see if I got it right!) http://www.crunchsports.com/category/tennis/french-open-2015-serena-williams-dramatic-victory-and-what-it-means-for-the-final-20150605-0001/
I chipped in with Lindsay Gibbs in The Changeover’s ‘Things We Learned’ on quarterfinals day… http://www.changeovertennis.com/things-we-learned-on-day-11-of-the-2015-french-open/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
… And for CrunchSports.com I pondered upon whether Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal could be this year’s Wimbledon finalists. http://www.crunchsports.com/category/tennis/can-rafael-nadal-and-roger-federer-make-it-to-the-wimbledon-2015-final-20150606-0010/
